Editorial Relaunch of Actas de Gerontologia

Abstract

This editorial formalizes the relaunch of Actas de Gerontologia, a scientific journal associated with the Portuguese Congress on Evaluation and Intervention in Social Gerontology. The article defines nine types of accepted contributions (ranging from original articles to educational resources), establishes an inclusive language policy (Portuguese, English, and Spanish), and details a modern peer-review process supported by artificial intelligence, with final decisions remaining exclusively human. The journal commits to responsible scientific dissemination, international indexing, and the social utility of the knowledge produced.
